About

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program, educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization and disaster medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and during exercises CERT can assist others in their neighborhood - workplace or surrounding communities when professional responders are not immediately available. CERT members also are encouraged to support emergency response agencies by taking a more active role in emergency preparedness projects and community assistance in their communities.

Visit DearbornVaccine.com to be part of the campaign against the devastating effects of COVID-19 by signing up to volunteer at the Vaccination Center at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center in Dearborn.

Volunteers support the efforts of nurses and firefighters who are administering the vaccine and make those seeking a shot feel welcome and comfortable.

Data entry away from public interaction is also a volunteer opportunity. Volunteers are offered a vaccine (applies to 18 and over.)

Note: There is no need for medical personnel to volunteer to be vaccinators at this time.
